Challenging the healers

I am going to call this one like I see it. Bear with me here.

Challenging the holistic community is the reason I am writing this.

Many people in the holistic community are totally tied to the healing power of energy work, as I am. They know that it offers a spiritual answer to mental and emotional difficulties, which in turn, lead to a host of physical problems.

Whether they are energy workers like Reiki healers, shamans, or tappers, they all know the same wisdom: the energy/spirit is paramount. The spirit is the essential threshold of human experience. That even as the body fades, the spirit can grow stronger.

The challenge: People need their bodies to be healthy as long as possible, and a healthy body can CREATE a heathy mind, which is in turn capable of incredible gains in, you guessed it, energy and spirit.

My proposal: Energy workers, work on all three. Partner with the Yoga, tai chi, and martial arts communities in doing work in all these areas. Bring the higher wisdom of the spirit to these disciplines, but incorporate the gym, the field, the track, and the pool. Partner with schools on peace education for children. Bring the idea of abundance to all who need it.

You are very much needed in this world for your knowledge of the spirit, holistic practitioners. But you also need the energies of body and mind to truly lead everyone.

Include everyone. Do it by challenging yourself and those you work with to excel on all levels.
